Description

The Bonino Airlay Grecale is an aerodynamic carding machine designed for forming three-dimensional webs with natural, synthetic, specialty, or glass fibers. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring high thicknesses and densities, such as acoustic and thermal insulation, the automotive sector, filtration, furniture, and the medical sector.

Its air-feed system allows for a three-dimensional arrangement of the fibers and an electronically adjustable web profile via flaps, which improves machine-direction and cross-directional uniformity. It offers a production capacity of 100 to 3000 gsm, reaching up to 500 kg/h per meter of width. The modular configuration facilitates access for maintenance and cleaning.

Bonino Carding Machines offers 2 types of aerodynamic cards: the Turbocard and the Airlay Grecale.

Turbo Card was designed for the processing of natural and mixed fibers of natural fibers with PP and PES, but it is also widely used in the processing of synthetic and artificial fibers, cotton and bleached cottons, special fibers and glass fibers.

The aerodynamic web formation has, if compared to the production of traditional nonwovens with card and crosslapper, many advantages, including:

  • Lower investment
  • Less space required
  • Best MD:CD ratio
  • Homogeneus three-dimensional placement of fibres

FIELDS OF APPLICATION:

  • Automotive
  • Thermal and acoustic insulation
  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Medical
  • Production of blankets

The Airlay Grecale is able to produce a three-dimensional web similar to the Turbocard, but with the possibility of obtaining higher densities and thicknesses. Like the Turbocard, the Airlay can be separated into sections for easy access in case of maintenance and cleaning.
